Obituary for M. Lois Ailes (Harrington)
M. LOIS AILES, 80 of Delta, PA passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021 in her home. She was the beloved wife for 64 years of the late Joseph F. Ailes who died on December 4, 2020.
Born on December 15, 1940 in Churchville, MD, she was one of six children born to the late Claude Allen Harrington and Eleanor Clara (Kegley) Harrington. Lois was an extremely talented seamstress having worked for 30 years at the former Dallco Industries in Delta and fashioned her own clothing from the original patterns she created. When the sewing factory closed, she obtained a position at the Delta/Peach Bottom Elementary School for 5 years until she retired in 2007.
Lois worked alongside her late husband, Joe and her family on the family farm, enjoyed gardening, mowing her lawn, playing the guitar and singing. Her fondest times were spent with her family – especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by-
Three children-J. Edwin Ailes, Dena Kay Harrington and Lisa Dawn Erickson
Six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren
Three sisters-Louise Reinhart, Dorothy Mitzel and Nancy Linderborn
She was preceded in death by two brothers-Joseph Allen Harrington and James Harrington.
