Obituary for Margaret Marie Windon
MARGARET MARIE WINDON, 79 of Delta, PA, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022 in Rest Haven Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, York, PA. She was the wife of Clarence J. Windon, Jr. who died on September 19, 2000, and at the time of his death, they had shared 36 years of marriage.
Born on March 16, 1943 in York, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert Sliver and Mary (Lane) Sliver. Margaret had worked for the former Fawn Grove Sewing/Manufacturing Factory and the former Whiteford Packing Company. She had been a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church of Holtwood, PA where she was active in church activities and enjoyed attending the potluck dinners. Margaret was a dedicated mother and grandmother; she liked to work crossword puzzles as well as puzzles. A few years ago, her daughter, Ginger, took her to see the ocean – a long time wish of Margaret. Her kind spirit and never ending love will be missed.

Four grandchildren-
Katelynn Burkins; Bobby Burkins; Sara Marie Miller; Alisha Fizer and three great grandchildren
Four siblings-
Shirley Cochran; Helen Johnson; Bobby Sliver; Donnie Sliver
Two brothers-Marvin Sliver and Harry Sliver preceded her in death.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 11 a.m. in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Road, York, PA with Pastor David Ryan of Bethesda United Methodist Church officiating. Please gather at the graveside.
In lieu of flowers, her family would appreciate memorial contributions to Woodbine Believers Assembly, 9463 Woodbine Rd., Airville, PA 17302.
