Obituary for Marvin H. "Buck" Burton
Marvin H. “Buck” Burton, age 91, of Airville, PA, died at his home at 3:11 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021. He was the husband of Shirley (Hiener) Burton, and they observed their 67th. wedding anniversary on November 1, 2020.
Born in Baltimore County, MD, on July 20, 1929, to a farming family in Kingsville, he was a son of the late Benjamin and Anna (Menninger) Burton. With a strong love for working the land, he also spent his life farming, specifically vegetables, which he provided to the wholesale produce markets in Jessup, MD, and Philadelphia, PA. Moving from Baltimore County in 1985, he and his family made their home in Airville, where he continued to farm well into his 80’s. Mr. Burton was always happy to be on his tractor, working.

Mr. Burton was preceded in death by his son, R. Tim Burton, who died on April 9, 1987.
Also preceding him in death were his siblings, George Burton, Benjamin Burton, Irene Bogarty, Margaret Dietz, Roland Burton, Robert Burton, and Ruth Livingston.
The visitation will be on Wednesday, January 13, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta, PA.
All are welcome to attend the visitation observing current Covid precautions. Masks are needed both indoors and outdoors, and we will control entrance with no more than 25 people indoors at any time.
Private graveside services and interment will be on Thursday, January 14, at 11 a.m. and may be viewed live on Facebook via the funeral home page. Streaming will begin shortly before 11 a.m. and will conclude with the benediction and committal.
