Obituary for Matthew Paul Horner

LIFE STORY PREPARED BY HIS LOVING FAMILY: MATTHEW PAUL HORNER, 46 of Airville, PA died unexpectedly on Friday, October 28, 2022 in his home. Born on March 17, 1976 in Johnstown, PA, Matt AKA “Mouse” was one of three children born to Carol Yvonne (Kinsey) Horner of Delta, PA and the late Paul Richard Horner. Matt was a spiritual man walking his own personal journey with God.

Matthew was a graduate of Kennard Dale High School in Fawn Grove, PA and continued his education at MTA driving school. He had been employed for BMC/Builders First Source of Paradise, PA for many years. Matt was known to be dedicated to his career and trade. He was a hard worker, a “jack-of-all-trades” with the ability to fix just about anything. Matt loved to crack jokes, and was quite a goofball. He especially enjoyed working on his van, trucks, and mowers. He also had a passion for riding his Harley.

Matt was a very kind hearted person, loving with a concern for others and had a special place in his heart for his 4 legged children- his dog, Tank and cat, Paws.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by: a brother, Scott (Jen) Horner and their children Buddy and Gavin of Airville, PA, and a niece, Rachael Hoffman of Easton, PA. Loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends are left to mourn him.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Apryle Patricia (Horner) Hoffman, and his father Paul Richard Horner.

A visitation will be held at Harkins Funeral Home, Inc., 600 Main Street, Delta, PA on Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 2:00 until 3:15. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 3:30 pm with Pastor Donald C. Rowe of The Peach Bottom Charge of The United Methodist Church officiating. The family requests that anyone attending the services to please dress casually.
