MATTHEW WARREN SHERMAN, 59 of Delta, PA, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday night, March 16, 2021. He was the loving husband of Judith A. (Lovell) Sherman with whom he had shared 31 years of marriage.

Matt and his twin brother, Mike were born in Havre de Grace, MD; on August 8, 1961; they were sons of the late Alphus Harry Sherman and Amy Annette (Skinner) Sherman. He graduated in 1979 from Bel Air High School and received his associate degree in 1981 from Harford Community College in Bel Air, MD. Matt attended Lancaster Bible College to pursue his love of the Bible and the Holy Scriptures. He loved to spread the Good News of Jesus and was currently the co-pastor of Faith Community Chapel in Delta. Matt had worked with youth and young adults for Pleasant View Brethren in Christ, Red Lion, PA and New Covenant Community Chapel of Delta. In addition, he had served as youth pastor for Grandview Christian Church in Fallston, MD and Fallston United Methodist Church. Singing Christian songs was also a passion of Matt’s as well as helping all in need.

Matt was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying camping, fishing and spending time together with his family. He was currently employed as a salesman for Carl’s Door Service of Baldwin, MD. His love of Christ, serving his community and his caring spirit will be missed.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday May 15, 2021 at 2 p.m. at The Bel Air Moose Lodge Hall, 310 East Jarrettsville Road Forest Hill, MD.
