MELVIN E. GRUBB, 85 years of Pylesville, MD, died in his home on Tuesday, November 23, 2021. He was the beloved husband for 63 years of Kathleen (Boggs) Grubb who passed away on June 9th of this year.

Born on September 21, 1936 in Wytheville, VA, he was one of six children born to the late Albert William Grubb and Essie Thelma (Shelton) Grubb and had been an employee for 35 years at Sparrows Point before retiring. An outdoorsman, Melvin enjoyed hunting, fishing and mowing the yard with his cherished tractor. He was a talented gardener growing fruits and vegetables. He could be seen traveling the yard sale trail as well as attending auctions.

Important to Melvin was his belief in God and family. He was a faithful member of Full Gospel Pentecostal Church in Dublin and appreciated the sermons that encouraged the strong faith in Jesus he had as well as sharing with others. Melvin cherished times with his children, grandchildren as well as the great grandchildren that he had been blessed with. He was an avid cook and shared his skills with all the generations of his family.

Marsha Hedrick of Delta, PA

A sister, Marie Wilkins of North Carolina

Twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren

He was preceded in death by:
Two children-Mark Grubb and Tammy Rebecca Neaves
His siblings-Thelma, Bill, Lee and Ginny.

Graveside services were held privately for his family.
