Obituary for Michael Anthony Caldwell Sr.
LIFE STORY PREPARED BY HIS LOVING FAMILY: Michael (Mike) Anthony Caldwell Sr., loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away September 14, 2022 at 62 years old.
He was known by all of his family for his great cooking, from shrimp lasagna to his legendary pancakes, he showed his love through food. The outdoors always held a special place in his life, from hunting and fishing to kayaking and spending time with his sons and grandson on the river by his home. Poker nights with the “boys” left him with some of his favorite memories.
While Mike worked on the road quite a bit while his sons were young, as they got older his goal was to pass along his values of hard work and respect to them, and eventually influence his grandson in the same manner.
Mike’s late dog Riddick always brought out his softer side. You could almost always catch him watching golf or football, with some Family Feud mixed in there too, with Riddick by his side. From walks around the yard chasing groundhogs and bunnies, adventures out to Muddy Run, and always making sure he got the best leftovers, Riddick really was his best friend.
