NORA MORTORFF BROWN, 87 of Brogue, PA passed away in her home on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. She was the loving wife of Otis Ray Brown who died on June 25, 2005.

Born on September 24, 1934 in York, PA, she was a daughter of the late Laymon George Mortorff and Elnora Irene (Nickle) Mortorff. For ten years, she had worked as a caretaker for Sunshine Services with patients in their homes. Nora loved to dance, listen to music, liked to play the lottery and was quite a poker player. She always looked forward to seeing her family especially when a new baby would come to visit. She was fond of her dogs and most recently Corky.

Seventeen grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by three of her children: Terry Smith, Elnora Smith and James Smith; two grandchildren-Terry Smith, II and Shawn Daugherty; five siblings-Dorothy Mae, Richard, Madeline, Lloyd and Lillian.

Services will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA with a viewing from 1-2 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. Pastor Rod Anderson of New Covenant Community Church will officiate. Interment will be in Slate Ridge Cemetery, Delta, PA
