Obituary for Patricia E. Koermer (Procheska)
Patricia E. Koermer, 84, of Whiteford, MD, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 14, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was born to her late parents, James G. and Elizabeth (Martin) Procheska, at home on their dairy farm in Whiteford. She was married to her beloved husband, George E. Koermer, Sr. for 66 years on December 26.
Pat or Gammy was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She spent 25 years with the Harford County Public Schools as a secretary, retiring in 1990 to focus her time on helping with the family business, Koermer Landscaping, Inc. of Whiteford. When not working, she enjoyed spending time at the ocean, gardening and crafting but most of all spending time with family. Patricia was a devout catholic and a member of St. Mary’s of the Assumption Catholic Church, Pylesville, MD.
In addition to her beloved husband, Patricia is survived by her children: George (Kim) Koermer, Jr., of Jarrettsville, MD, Jeffrey (Connie) Koermer, of Stewartstown, PA and Christopher (Debbie) Koermer, of Whiteford, MD. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one sister,
Betty Jo Basilio.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her siblings, Ann Heaps and James Procheska, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial contributions are made to: St. Mary’s of the Assumption Catholic Church, 1021 St. Mary’s Road, Pylesville, MD 21132.
