Obituary for Robert David Brown

Robert David Brown, age 74, of Street, Maryland, was called home on December 31, 2020. Born in Maryland, he was the son of the late Clarence “Sonny” and Helen R. (Farber) Brown and husband of 51 years to Elizabeth “Carol” (Hamrick) Brown. A 1965 graduate of Bel Air High School, he was also a veteran of the United States Army where served his country for 4 years. He later retired from Aberdeen Proving Ground as a model maker after 30 years of service.

Originally from Harford County, Bobby and his wife moved to Windsor Pennsylvania, to reside with his daughter and son in law, Juan “Jay” and Lisa Ann (Brown) Chabarria for the last three years. Bobby is also survived by his two granddaughters, Helena “Morgan” Brown and Alexandrea Medina Chabarria, and two great grandchildren, Tyler Brown and Callie Moore. Bobby enjoyed a life of service and remained active in multiple veterans organizations, a life member of The Veterans of Foreign Wars, he served as post Commander on multiple occasions, 5th District Commander (1985-1986), and chairing the State Buddy Poppy and Loyalty Day Programs. He was also a life member of the Military Order of the Cooties, Catholic War Veterans and Disabled American Veterans.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was predeceased by his daughter Maragret C. (Brown) Waters, and his sister Miriam Reno, both of Bel Air, Maryland.

Bobby is survived by his sisters, Elizabeth (Betty) A. Brown of Cecil County, Carolyn Myhre of Middlebury, Vermont. Sharron Funk of Darlington, Maryland. His brothers, Anthony Brown and Michael Brown, both of Street Maryland.
