Obituary for Robert M. Clements

ROBERT M. CLEMENTS, 82 of New Park, PA, died on Sunday, March 21, 2021 in his home. He was the beloved husband of Elaine E. (Miller) Clements and on March 13th, they celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary.

Born on June 28, 1938 in Rawlinsville, PA, he was the biological son of the late Hugh Porter Clements and Myrtle (Winters) Clements; however, he was raised from infancy by the late Harry and Anna Clements. Bob was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Germany from December 1962 – December 1964. He had worked as a foreman with Penn Dot for 23 years, retiring in 1995 followed by operating heavy equipment for Fitz & Smith of Dallastown. Bob enjoyed working the family farm with his son, Shane after he retired. He was a 50 year member of Friendship Lodge #663, F. & A.M. of Fawn Grove, PA. Bob and his wife, Elaine have been members for the past 15 years of the Rawlinsville United Methodist Church in Holtwood, PA.

Bob appreciated the peacefulness of nature and relaxation from spending time in the mountain area at his daughter’s home, enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and looked forward to family gatherings. He and his wife cherished the times spent with a group of friends that he had been seeing for over 40 years playing cards going on picnics and social events.

Sarah Clements, Anna Clements, Autumn Thompson and Tierney Thompson

Caring members of his wife’s family who assisted in his care – Loretta Miller; Earl Miller and his wife, Janet

Loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers-Gerald, Carter, Haines, Donald and Richard Clements; a sister, Bette Clements.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. in the Rawlinsville Methodist Church Cemetery, 1043 Truce Road, Holtwood, PA 17532. Please gather at the graveside for the service that will be officiated by his minister, Pastor Kathy Weaver. Military honors will be presented at the graveside by the United States Army Honor Guard and a masonic service will be presented by his lodge.
