Obituary for Steve Ciborowski

LIFE STORY WRITTEN BY THE FAMILY:Steve Ciborowski, 65 of Delta, PA, went out for a walk and never came back.

Steve graduated Bel Air High School in ‘74 and went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree from Slippery Rock University. Upon graduating, he worked as a Test Director for the Army at Aberdeen Proving Ground and retired after 36 years.

Steve was an avid bottle collector, Ma & Pa Railroad buff (even owning part of the tracks), and never passed up the opportunity to go on a hike. He was the Asst. Scoutmaster for Troop 400, coached Envirothon, belonged to Bryansville UM Church, and discovered history at Stonetown.

Steve was married to Kerry H. Ciborowski for 42 years and together they had two children: Jennie and Susan. He is survived by his wife and daughters, mother Eleanor B. Ciborowski, sister Linda and husband Rich, brother Phil and wife Jo Carol, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Susan K. Ciborowski and father, retired LTC Mitchell S. Ciborowski.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held in Steve’s honor at 1:00 p.m on Saturday, May 14th, 2022 at the Hills Grove Pavilion in Rocks State Park located at 4001 St. Clair Bridge Road. Be sure to bring a lawn chair to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to BSA Troop 400. Checks can be made payable “Troop 400” and mailed to Teresa Wild 4956 Carea Rd Whitehall, MD 21161.
