Obituary for Susan J. Bennett (Johnson)
Susan J. Bennett, age 75 years, of Whiteford, MD, died on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at the Forest Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center in Forest Hill, MD. She was the wife of Ernest Eugene Bennett who died on December 8, 2008.
Mrs. Bennett was born in Baltimore, MD on October 26, 1946, a daughter of the late Ernest George and Mildred Anne (Henschen) Johnson. She was employed at the John Archer School and later retired as a library technician from Harford County Public Schools where she worked at both North Harford and Jarrettsville Elementary Schools.
A longtime member of the Slate Ridge Presbyterian Church, Whiteford, Mrs. Bennett had served on the Board of Deacons. She was a caring and compassionate person who loved animals, especially dogs and birds. Mrs. Bennett helped many people in need by providing transportation and meals.
She is survived by:
Two sons
Peter T. Bennett and his wife, Erika of Jarrettsville, MD
Andrew S. Bennett of Whiteford, MD
One grandson
Sawyer Bennett
Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by her brother, Ernie Bennett
The memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 5 beginning at 11 am at the Slate Ridge Presbyterian Church, 1630 Chestnut St, Whiteford, MD 21160.
Her pastor, Reverend Kenneth Osborne will officiate.
