Obituary for Terri Lynn Winpisinger

TERRI LYNN WINPISINGER, 58 of Hanover, MD, died on Friday, April 30, 2021 in the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie, MD. She was the beloved wife of William W. Winpisinger who died in July 2016.

Born on October 3, 1962, she was one of four children born to Rebecca Henrietta (Taylor) Gjerdahl of Delta, PA and the late James Merle Gjerdahl. Terri was born in a military family, traveling internationally as well as in the United States. During the Army assignment of her father, she was born in Baumholder, Germany and graduated from South Dade High School in Homestead, FL. She was currently employed with the IAMAW Machinist Union District #4 with a total of 25 years of dedication.

Terri Lynn had a strong faith in her Lord, was a loving aunt, godmother of her nephew, and was known to have a kind spirit. In addition, she was full of life, love and there never was a dull moment when spending time with Terri Lynn.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by:
A sister, Brenda Lee Compher (Joseph) of Delta, PA

A nephew and godson, Joseph Compher (Nicky) of Airville, PA.

A great niece, Taylor Grace Compher and a great nephew, Carson Lee Compher

An uncle, Milo Gjerdahl of Las Vegas, NV

She was preceded in death by her brothers-James Martin Gjerdahl and David Wayne Gjerdahl.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at noon in Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church, 962 Flintville Road, Delta, PA. Pastor Beth R. Holz will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, her family would appreciate memorial contributions to Grand Chapter of Maryland O.E.S. “Service Dogs” 304 International Circle, MD 21030-1300.
