Obituary for Tonya W. Mason
Life story prepared by her family-
Tonya W. Mason 40, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023. Married on June 5, 2010, she was the wife of Jeremy L. Mason for 12 years.
Born on October 20, 1982 in York, PA, Tonya was a 2000 graduate of Kennard Dale High School and received her nursing degree in 2004 from York College. As a teenager and young adult, Tonya enjoyed volunteering as an EMT at Delta-Cardiff Fire House. Upon receiving her nursing degree, Tonya worked as an emergency room nurse, school nurse, RN at Kirk US Army Health Clinic and a nurse case manager at Shock Trauma in Baltimore.
More recently, Tonya was a homemaker devoting her energy and love into raising her son, Brody. In her free time, she enjoyed camping and working in her garden. She loved to cook and to can vegetables from her garden. She was always up for hosting a bonfire get-together. But what she loved most was being a mom to Brody.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Brody; mother, Wanda Simon and step-father, Ross Simon; father, Todd Taylor and step-mother, Yvonne Taylor. Siblings: Jarod Taylor, Jessica Taylor. Grandfather, Jordan Sizemore.
