Wayne R. Staton, 80, of Delta, PA, died on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at York Hospital. Wayne was born in Rockford, TN to the late Felton and Edith (Gribble) Staton. He was married to the late Carole (Rocky) Staton, who died in 2008.

Wayne made his career as a mechanic at the Sparrow Point Plant of Bethlehem Steel in Baltimore. He retired in 2001 after 41 years of employment with Bethlehem Steel. Wayne loved his family, working two jobs in addition to the steel plant to ensure that everyone in his family had everything they needed and more. When he was not working, Wayne enjoyed spending time outdoors. He cherished family vacations to Tennessee, trips to the beach, fishing, camping and baseball. He especially enjoyed an impromptu family picnic, even in the cold. His dry sense of humor will be greatly missed by his family.

Wayne is survived by two daughters, Deborah (Lou) DeAugustine, of Pittsburgh, PA, and Dodie Strong (Phil Miceli, Sr.), of Rosedale, MD. His memory will forever be cherished by four grandchildren, Jessica (Kevin) Robles, of PA, Nicholas Jankowski, of OK, Matthew Jankowski, of MD, and Dominic Strong, of MD. He is also survived by one brother, Ralph Staton, of TN.

In addition to his wife and parents, Wayne was predeceased by two children, Scott Staton and Christine Jankowski, along with many aunts and uncles.
