A MARGARET COOPER, age 91 years of Delta, PA, died on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the Barbara J. Egan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Shrewsbury, PA. She had shared 62 years of marriage with her husband, James Percy Cooper who passed away on January 5, 2005.

Born on July 12, 1921 in Pylesville, MD, she was a daughter of the late Charles G. and Lena B. (Yost) Keesee. Margaret was a very dedicated and loving wife, mother and Mom-Mom. She graduated from the former Slate Ridge High School in Whiteford in the class of 1939. Margaret had worked as a sewing machine operator and became a full time homemaker after her marriage to Percy.

Margaret was a member of the Delta Homemakers Group for nearly 50 years and a longtime member of the Delta United Methodist Church. Well known throughout the area for her excellent cooking, she enjoyed gardening, flowers and crafts.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Pearl Keesee and Thelma Clark; three brothers- Fred Keesee, Jennings Keesee and John Keesee.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at 12 noon at Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church, 962 Flintville Road, Delta, PA with her pastor, Reverend Judith L. Walker officiating.

Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.

Interment will be in Mt. Nebo Cemetery.
