Andrew G. "Andy" Sliger, age 83 years, of Pylesville, MD died on Sunday, March 16, 2008 at his home. He was the husband of Gertrude (Fulton) Sliger with whom he recently celebrated 60 years of marriage.

Mr. Sliger was born on Jan. 23, 1925 at Bridgeton, PA a son of the late Russell J. and Ethel S. (Shenberger) Sliger. He retired in 1992 from the former Commercial & Savings Bank in Harford County where he was a courier. Mr. Sliger had owned and operated Andy's Cab Company in Bel Air for 10 years. He was a US Army veteran serving from 1943-1947 in the Pacific Theatre. Andy enjoyed going to flea markets and yard sales and attending the York Fair. He enjoyed bird watching and traveling. He always had his dog Pepper by his side.

In addition to his wife he is survived by 1 son and daughter in law- John R. & Joann Sliger of Whiteford, MD.

2 grandchildren- Russell A. Sliger of Bel Air, MD and Christine Sliger of Baltimore, MD

He was preceded in death by a brother Ervin Sliger and a sister Marie Meek.

Funeral service will be on Wednesday, March 19 at 11 AM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta, PA. Friends may call from 10-11 AM. Pastor Carletta Curley of Slate Ridge Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Slate Ridge Cemetery.
