ANNA MARY KILGORE, age 93 years, of Waldorf, Maryland died on Thursday,

November 10, 2005 at the Charles County Nursing Home in La Plata, Maryland. She had been the wife for over fifty years of Luther E. Atkins who died in October 1989.

Mrs. Atkins was born in Lower Chanceford Township, York County, Pennsylvania on January 10, 1912; a daughter of the late Thomas C. and Bertha (Matthews) Kilgore.

She grew up in the Airville and Delta Pennsylvania areas and graduated from Lower Chanceford High School in 1930 and from Red Lion Area High School in 1931.

She was a homemaker and a sales representative for Avon products for over thirty years. She was a member of the Avon representatives President Club. In addition, she was a member of the American Association of Retired People and the Bethel Baptist Church in La Plata, Maryland.

She is survived by:

A nephew-Joseph A. Kilgore

Many loving great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at the Bethel Baptist Church in La Plata, Maryland.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 18, 2005 at 2:30 PM at Pine Grove Cemetery, 4263 Delta Road, Airville, Pennsylvania.

Reverend James B. Shuler of Pine Grove Presbyterian Church will officiate.
