Anna Pauline Cornett , 88, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2026, in Forest Hill, Maryland.

Born on May 13, 1938, in Elk Creek, Virginia, Anna was the wife of the late John Cornett, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.

She was the loving mother of Shirley Yeager and Mike Cornett, and she also raised her grandson, John David Meyers, as her own. Anna was preceded in death by her children, Harold “Dean” Cornett, Johnny Cornett, Kathy Evans, Ronnie Cornett, Bobby Cornett, and Judy Cornett.

Anna enjoyed the simple things in life and especially loved gardening, shopping, and spending time with her family. She looked forward to trips to Amish Country and could often be found searching for a good find at yard sales and thrift stores. Above all, the time she spent surrounded by her family was most important to her.

In addition to her surviving children and grandson, Anna is survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will continue to cherish the many memories they shared with her.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Darlington Cemetery, 2400 Shuresville Road, Darlington, Maryland 21034, with Pastor Mark Rudd officiating.
