Arie (George) Brewington, age 76 years, of Edgewood, Maryland died on Thursday, July 26, 2007 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, Maryland.
Mr. Brewington was born on June 7, 1931 in Clinton, North Carolina, son of George B. and Hattie (Faircloth) Brewington. He served 25 years in the United States Army, retiring as Sergeant First Class. During a period of his military career, he was an instructor at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Harford County, Maryland. After retiring from active duty, George managed the former Kocolean in Aberdeen and also drove for Edgewood Taxi specializing in taking new recruits to join the military.
As a result of his military service was awarded the following medals:
Good Conduct, Army Occupation, National Defense, Vietnam Service, Republic of Vietnam Campaign and the Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry.
He is survived by:
A step-daughter- Anna P. Almony of Delta, Pennsylvania
Three grandchildren- Sherry Eller and Ronald Eller both of Cleveland, Virginia; Elizabeth Eller of Castlewood, Virginia; Brittany Almony of Delta, Pennsylvania.
Two sisters-

Evelyn Krizini of Clayton, North Carolina
A brother, Ellie Brewington of Clinton, North Carolina
