ARLENE E. ESPEY, age 89 years, died on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Sunshine Acres in Norrisville area of White Hall, Maryland. She was the wife of Howard Thomas Espey with whom she had shared 62 years of marriage.

Born on January 5, 1923 in Hillsboro, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Gilbert and Nancy (Wamsley) Brock. A resident of Forest Hill, Maryland since 1962, she and her husband had spent the last several months at the assisted living facility. She loved cooking, canning, sewing, quilting, needle point and gardening. She was very fond of her canary birds.

Nancy Yeager and her husband, John of Forest Hill, Maryland

Wendy Day and her husband, Bill, also of Forest Hill, Maryland

Four grandchildren

Numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lucinda Knapp.

Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, the 10th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Bel Air Memorial Gardens.
