ARNOLD DAYTON FELTS, age 77 years of Whiteford, Maryland died at his home at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, 2006. He was the husband of Verla L. (Arnold) Felts. They observed their 56th. wedding anniversary on January 6, 2006.

Mr. Felts was born in Welch, West Virginia on September 30, 1928 a son of the late Roy A. and Bertha A. (Jenkins) Felts. From 1946 until 1960 he worked as a coal miner in Capels, West Virginia. He and his family moved to Harford County, Maryland in 1961 where he worked as an electrician until 1990. He attended Bethany Baptist Church in Airville, Pennsylvania. He enjoyed mowing his lawn and he loved to fish on the Susquehanna River. After one such outing, Mrs. Felts was surprised to find the six fish he caught swimming in the bathtub at their home. Mr. Felts wanted to keep them fresh until they could be eaten.

Judy P. Brinck of Street, Maryland

Nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

One brother-Elwood J. Felts of Capels, West Virginia

Nadine D. Williams of Ozark, Alabama

Gloria Lee Smith of Fort Wayne, Indiana

Joyce M. Shirley of Linden, North Carolina

Gail Atkins of Shreveport, Louisiana

Sue Racine of Port Deposit, Maryland

Kathy Cooper of Aberdeen, Maryland

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 9 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bethany Baptist Church, 4162 Delta Road, Airville, Pennsylvania.

Pastor Rodney T. Stamper will officiate.

Interment will be in Slate Ridge Cemetery, Delta. Pennsylvania

Viewing will be at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta on Wednesday, March 8 from 7 to 9 p.m..

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Bethany Baptist Church, P.O. Box 306, Airville, PA 17302.

Pallbearers are: Curtis Felts, Gregory Felts, Christopher Felts, Dwight Hedrick, Jason Brinck and Eddie Kuehne.
