Audrey Catherine Boone, 76, of Pylesville, MD, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family, at Hart Heritage Assisted Living, on Friday, August 9, 2024. Audrey was born in Baltimore, MD, to her late father, Vincent Joseph Szlachetka and her mother, Geraldine Josephine DeMonde. She was married to her late husband, Lewis Charles Boone, until his death on July 19, 2018.

Audrey was a loving and gracious woman, who was devoted to her husband and children. For her career, she worked at Aberdeen Proving Ground as an Administrative Assistant. She enjoyed sharing time with her family and making a life time of memories. Her most precious moments were spent with her grandchildren and her great granddaughter. She loved vacationing with her family, especially in Disney World. She will be remembered for her great imagination, her love of art and her wonderful ability to tell stories. She was a parishioner at St. Mary, Pylesville and a member of The Belles of St. Mary.

In addition to her mother, Audrey is survived by her children; Monica Ann Ransom and her husband Gary, of Orlando, FL and Melissa Ann Klusewitz and her husband Kurt, of Delta, PA. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Holly Noel Klusewitz and her fiancé Samuel Tubbs, Lewis Garett Ransom and his wife Chelsea, Gabrielle Lucille Ransom and her great granddaughter, Victoria Ransom.

In addition to her father, Audrey was predeceased by her brother, Andrew C. Szlachetka.

Viewings will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm and again from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Harkins Funeral Home, Inc., 600 Main Street, Delta, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 10:30 am at St. Mary, Pylesville, 1021 St. Mary's Road, Pylesville, MD. Father John Rapisarda will be celebrant. Interment will immediately follow the funeral liturgy in the adjoining church cemetery.
