BARBARA VIRGINIA COCHRAN-SIMPSON, age 66 years, died on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 in her home in Bel Air, Maryland. She was the wife of the late Leonard Cochran and her second husband, the late Lou Simpson.

Born on February 28, 1944 in Whiteford, Maryland, she was the daughter of Emma Amelia (Barton) York of Forest Hill, Maryland and the late Robert Lymon Schroeder. Barbara was a graduate of North Harford High School in Pylesville, Maryland. Retiring a few years ago, she had worked as a veterinary assistant for 20 years at the Havre de Grace Animal Hospital. She loved animals and adored her dog, Sunny Rae and her cats, Sissy and Kitty.

Seven grandchildren-Brett Cochran, Shaun Anderson, Zachary Anderson, Leeanne Fitch, Tyler Lewis, Gavin Lewis and Alexis Lewis

A great grandson-Shaun Anderson, Jr.

A brother, Robert Lymon Schroeder, III of Edgewood, Maryland

Margaret Hartsock of Edgewood, Maryland

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 14, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA, where the funeral will be held on Saturday, the 15th at 11a.m.

Reverend Nick McDonald will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Robert Sterling Schroeder, Tracy Cochran, Samuel Patterson, Brett Cochran, Charles Osborne and Brian Hendrix.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Henry Rhinehart, Willie Diaz, Shyan Fleischman and Dr. Frank Thompson.

Interment will be in Slate Ridge Cemetery, Delta, Pennsylvania
