Barbara Jane Fincham, 66, of Street, MD, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. Barbara was born in Baltimore, MD, to her late parents, William Walter and Lois Jane (Kohler) Johnson.

After graduating from North Harford High School in 1975, she began a 32 year career with the State of Maryland as an Administrative Assistant. Barbara loved to be in the presence of her family. She enjoyed quilting, crafting, biking, working in her flower garden and chocolate.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Christina Wooten and her husband, Paul and granddaughter Abigail, of Airville, PA. She is also survived by her estranged husband, Edgar Allen Fincham, Jr. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Janet Johnson Jones and her husband, G. Kelly Jones, of Jarrettsville, MD. She was preceded in death by her sister, Robin Ann Heathcott. She also survived by her loving nieces, great-niece and great-nephews. In addition, her two dearest friends Joseph Plummer and Joanne Cushing.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial contributions are made to any Ovarian Cancer Research Fund of ones choosing, in the hope that the life of one woman might be saved.

An inurnment will take place on Monday, February 19, 2024 at 11:00 am at Darlington Cemetery. Pastor Stephen E. Smith will officiate.
