Barbara Jane Reid, 88, of Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 21, 2025.

Born on August 31, 1937, in Mount Bethel, Pennsylvania, Barbara was the daughter of the late Everett Hughes and Virginia Hughes (née Felker). From them, she learned the values of faith, service, and deep devotion to family that she carried throughout her life.

Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles W. Reid, and her cherished son, Steven Reid.

She is survived by her children, Brian Reid and Jennifer Campbell (Mark); and by Bernd "Bernie" Kuchmetzki, a foreign exchange student who became family in every sense of the word. Barbara was a proud and devoted grandmother to Joshua Campbell and Kayla Campbell, who were truly the light of her life. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia Bach (Mel).

Barbara was deeply rooted in her faith and was an active and dedicated member of Fawn Community Church. She sang joyfully in the church choir and faithfully served on various committees over the years, always willing to lend her time, voice, and heart wherever it was needed.

Above all else, Barbara was a caregiver. She took great pride in caring for her family, especially her grandchildren, who were very, very important to her. She treasured time spent vacationing with her loved ones in Canada and Maine, creating memories that will be held close forever. A talented home cook and baker, Barbara expressed her love through meals shared around the table—food made with care, tradition, and generosity.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Fawn Community Church, located at 67 S. Market Street, Fawn Grove, PA 17321. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the service beginning promptly at 11:00 a.m. Interment will immediately follow in Fawn Community Church Cemetery.
