BERNICE C. AYRES, age 79 years, of Delta, Pennsylvania died on Friday, October 6, 2006 at 11:59 a.m. in her home on the Copper Penny Farm. She was the wife of Edward L. Ayres, and they shared twenty-six years of marriage.

Mrs. Ayres was born on February 26, 1927 in Baltimore, Maryland a daughter of the late John E. and Lou Bertha (Adams) Maxwell. She and her husband moved from White Marsh Maryland to the Delta area nineteen years ago. She was a homemaker loving to cook and care for her family. She enjoyed playing the slots, bingo and dancing. She found great joy from the companionship of her pet animals. She was the vice-president of the Sweet and Creamy shop on Main Street, Delta.
