BERNIECE P. SCHULER, age 89 years, of Red Lion, Pennsylvania, formerly of Delta, Pennsylvania died on Monday, December 1, 2008 at Manor Care in Dallastown, Pennsylvania. She was the wife of Vance W. Schuler who died on February 7, 2001.

Mrs. Schuler was born on January 7, 1919 in Delta, Pennsylvania; she was a daughter of the late Guy and Mary (Barton) Parthree. She was a 1937 graduate of Delta High School and a 1939 graduate of Thompson Business School. She worked for the former Bainbridge Naval Training Center, Edgewood Arsenal and Aberdeen Proving Grounds, all in the State of Maryland, retiring as an administrator after over 30 years of service. Mrs. Schuler was a member of Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church in Delta, Pennsylvania.

Mrs. Schuler is survived by five siblings-

Junior Parthree of York, Pennsylvania

Hazel Landreth of Springfield, Virginia

Eunice Anderson, Janet Grove and Deloras Fisher, all of Red Lion, Pennsylvania

She was preceded in death by half-brothers, Weldon Van Hart and Emeleyn Van Hart and brothers-Roland I. Parthree, Harold Parthree, Myron Parthree and Ralph Parthree.

Services will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania with the funeral service beginning at 1 PM. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Her pastor, Reverend Dennis L. McCleary will officiate.

Interment will be Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Delta, Pennsylvania

Pallbearers will be Barry Parthree, Steve Parthree, Mike Parthree, Regan Fisher, Todd Fisher and Troy Fisher.
