BERTHA AGNES BREWER, 99 years of Bel Air, MD, died on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in Stella Maris Hospice in Timonium, MD. She was the beloved wife of the late Lester Thomas Brewer who passed over 40 years ago. Born on June 20, 1918 in Baltimore, MD, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Rychlicka) Grden. Bertha was a longtime member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Bel Air, MD. Along with her love for the Lord, she had a strong passion for handwork including sewing, crocheting and embroidery work.

She is survived by:

A daughter, Kathleen J. Brandow, and her husband, Joe of Bel Air, MD

Eight grandchildren: Dan, Shannon, Cara, Leah, Thomas, Jamie, Cara and Andrew

Seven great grandchildren, Miranda, Brandon, Lindsay, Michelle, Tony, Jeff and Ashley

Five great-great grandchild, Delilah, Ericka, Ellie, Adilay and Aliahna

She is preceded in death by her son Tom Brewer; her sister, Catherine Amen and two brothers, John Grden and Frank Grden.

Interment will be private. A memorial service in honor of Bertha will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 1200 Churchville Road, Bel Air, MD 21014. Pastor Blaise Sedney will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bertha's name may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 1200 Churchville Road, Bel Air, MD 21014.
