Bertha A. McAllister, age 75 years, of Delta, PA died on Saturday, October 31 at York Hospital. She was the wife of John Thomas McAllister. They were united in marriage for over 59 years.

Bertha was born on Dec. 17 1933 in Stewartstown, PA a daughter of the late Ernest and Mae (McPherson) Frey. She was a seamstress for many years working at the former Petti-Frocks Co in Whiteford, MD and at the former D&D Sewing Factory in Delta, PA. In 1981 she and her husband opened Triple M Restaurant in Delta and operated it for many years before retiring.

In addition to her husband she is survived by 6 children- Maxine Moul, James McAllister, Melinda Jones , Robert McAllister and Brian McAllister all of Delta, PA and Wayne McAllister of Whiteford, MD

1 sister- June Sipe of York, PA

19 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren

Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, Nov. 4 from 6-8 PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta, PA. Funeral service and interment will be private.
