Betty Ray Arnold, 78, of Darlington, MD, passed away at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, MD, on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. She was born in Havre de Grace, MD, to her late parents, Howard Roddam and Ester V. (Dallinger) Roddam. She was married to her late husband, Robert A. "Bob" Arnold, Sr. for 58 years until his death on October 30, 2019.

Betty worked for many years as a seamstress at the Gleneagle Sewing Factory. She was a dedicated wife and mother and found great joy working in and around her home. She was a strong and honest woman and refused to let any obstacle, no matter how big or small stand in her way. Her family meant everything to Betty, including her dog and cat.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Judy Ann (Tony) Garcia, of Bel Air, MD, who misses her father, mother and brother dearly and is patiently waiting for the day when they all will be together again. She is also survived by six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren who will forever cherish her memory.

In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was predeceased by one son, Robert Arnold, Jr.

A private Celebration of Life will be scheduled at the convenience of the family.
