Obituary

Betty L. Stamper, age 77 years, of Sebring, FL, died on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at the Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, FL. She was the wife of Robert Madison Stamper. They observed their 59th wedding anniversary on July 23, 2021.

Mrs. Stamper was born in Lenoir, North Carolina, on February 20, 1944, a daughter of the late Jessie Homer and Dolly Ann (Kincaid) Brewer. She and her husband were approved as missionaries in the early 1970s and served full-time in Ethiopia from 1974-1976. From 1979-2012, they served full-time as missionaries to Kenya, and from 2013 until her death, their service was as semi-retired missionaries. In recognition of her many years of missionary service, she was awarded an honorary master's degree.

David Lee Stamper of Lake Wales, FL

Mary Annette Stamper, Martha Elaine Stamper, Matthew Isaya Stamper, Elisabeth Michele Thompson, Molly Anne Stamper, and Caleb David Stamper

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Karol Stamper, her great-grandson Noah Matthew Stamper, and her brother, Harold Gene Brewer.

On Friday, October 15, a viewing will be held from 6 to 8 pm at the Bethany Baptist Church, 4162 Delta Rd., Airville, PA.

Funeral services will be held at the church on Saturday, October 16, at 11 am.

Pastor Doug Jones of Central Baptist Church will officiate along with Pastor Rodney Stamper of Bethany Baptist Church.

Interment will be in Slate Ridge Cemetery, Delta, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to aid in continuing the missions begun by the Stampers may be made to Bible Baptist Fellowship Int'l., PO Box 191, Springfield, MO 65801
