Life story prepared by her family-

BETTY LOU TURNER, 70, of Delta, PA, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at York Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Charles (Mike) Turner, Sr., with whom she shared 51 beautiful years of marriage.

Born in 1951 to the late Walter and Helen Barnett, Betty grew up in York County and was a long-time resident of Delta. Known to many as "Mommom B," Betty was a friend to all and a stranger to none. She had a deep love for children, whether or not they were hers, and spent much of her time making memories with her grandbabies and great-grandbabies.

When she wasn't at home with her family, you could find Betty socializing at bingo every Thursday night, relaxing at their beach house outside of Chincoteague, or volunteering with the Delta-Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company at the fair. She loved yard work and decorating her home through the seasons and holidays for all to enjoy. No matter where you'd run into her, you could guarantee that she would greet you with a bright smile, a warm embrace, and a listening ear.

In addition to her husband, Betty is survived by her brother, Pete Barnett, two children, Charles (Mike) Turner, Jr. and his wife, Stacy and Melissa (Missy) Hostler and her husband, John. She is also survived by six grandchildren; Amberlynne Shorter, Catherine Turner, Clayton Turner, Mikayla Hostler, John Hostler and Harley Hostler; and two great-grandchildren, Harper Dietz and Waylon Turner.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, Delta, PA with a private family burial on Thursday.
