It is with great sadness that the family of Betty Carol Testerman announces her passing on September 14, 2026 at the age of 89 years old in Street, MD leaving behind a remarkable legacy. She went on to join her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, passing at home after a brief stay in the hospital
Betty will be lovingly remembered by many. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Don Edward Testerman, son Gary Freeling Testerman, mother Mary Tolliver, and father Hurley Lee Greer. Betty is survived by her sons, Eddie Allen Testerman and wife Shirley, Don Edward Testerman, Jr. and wife Teresa. She was blessed with wonderful grandchildren, Dawn McCole and husband Steve, Jason Testerman and wife Holly, Stephanie Harris and husband Jeff, and Brad Testerman. Precious to her were the great grandchildren Cian McCole, Trinity Testerman, Kylee Testerman, Conal McCole, Keira Harris and Kaylee Harris. Betty was blessed with and loved her extended family: Brandon, Kait, Jack, Nick and Parker Watkins as well as Shelby, Presley and Alex.
In addition to being a mother and a homemaker, she had a working career ranging from sewing factories, driving school buses and retail stores. She worked and helped her husband in his construction business. In addition, she worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for a local homebuilder and construction company that lasted for well over 20 years and then retired. After retiring from public work, she watched over some of her grandchildren, chauffeured them to and from school, lessons and activities. When her husband passed, she kept going strong living alone, cleaning, cooking, mowing, weed eating and caring for her family. She enjoyed cooking and preparing holiday meals making sure she catered to everyone’s favorite dish serving everyone before helping herself. She was always available if she thought anyone needed help without being asked. Reading was a passion of hers, occupying much of her time and being a frequent visitor to the library.
As a faithful believer in Jesus Christ, she attended church regularly. As her health began to decline, she faithfully read her Bible as well as watching and worshiping every Wednesday and Sunday Church service online.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 20th, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Wagner-Elfner and Harkins Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania 17314.
A funeral service celebrating Betty's life will be held from the funeral home on Monday September 21st at 11:00am with Pastor Doug McClean Officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Nebo Church of Delta Cemetery, Delta, Pennsylvania.
