Betty M. Walter, age 73 years of Street, Maryland died on Sunday, May 31, 2009 at 6:50 a.m. at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air. She was the wife of Albert F. Walter who died on December 29, 2005.

A lifelong resident of Street, Maryland, she was born on March 21, 1936 a daughter of the late Melvin Alibone and Mary Margaret (Duff) Tayson. She was a homemaker who loved bowling, camping and was devoted to her family.

Mrs. Walter is survived by

Three sons: Doug Walter and his wife Crystal of Darlington, Maryland

Brian Walter and his wife Beth of Brogue, Pennsylvania

Scott Walter and his wife Rachel of Street

Nine grandchildren: Nicole, Kasey, Tony, Brandon, Marlana, Deanna, Jacob and Abigail Walter and Sam Cole.

One great grandson: Travis Cole

One sister: Brenda Lundeen of Street

She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald who died on October 22, 2004.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 4 at 11:00 a.m. at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.

Officiating will be Reverend Bruce E. Hale of the Calvary Temple of Praise, Aberdeen, Maryland.

Interment will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Forest Hill, Maryland

The viewing will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
