BILLIE B. EDWARDS, age 90 years of Churchville, MD died at 8:57 a.m. on Friday, March 25, 2016 at Madonna Heritage, Jarrettsville, MD.

Ms. Edwards was born in New Hall, WV on January 14, 1926 a daughter of the late Thomas J. and Sallie M. (Harrison) Beavers and widow of Leonard G. Edwards. After graduating from Frankford High School in WV, she moved to the Churchville, MD area when she was 17 years old. Billie completed cosmetology school and became a licensed Beautician. After deciding to make a career change, she earned a 2-year business degree and advanced herself through the Department of the Army. She was a Military Personnel Specialist for the Chemical – Biological Command at Edgewood Arsenal. Billie helped on the farm and was a great cook. She loved going on group bus trips, watching the birds and was a big Elvis Presley fan. She was known to have a sweet tooth and enjoyed candy, sweets, and desserts of all kinds.

Friends may call at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA on Monday, March 28 from 10 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. her Pastor, Blaise Sedney officiating. Interment will be in Bel Air Memorial Gardens.
