BLANCH WOODRUFF, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, formerly of Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania, died on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 in her daughter's home. Born on August 5, 1943 in the Overlea area of Baltimore County, Maryland, she was a daughter of the late Samuel B. and Madelin E. (Amos) Foote.
Blanch had been employed for 12 years for Harford County Public Schools, retiring in 2002 from the North Bend Elementary in Jarrettsville, Maryland. She was a member of the Fawn Grove Church of the Nazarene, a member of the Better Breathing Lung Association and enjoyed spending time with her family. Blanch was an avid horse admirer and enjoyed riding with fellow members of the League of Maryland Horsemen, Valley Lea Riding Club, Conewago Trail Riders and the Pennsylvania Rangers.
She is survived by:
Two daughters-
Sandra E. Biller and her husband, Dale of Millsboro, Delaware
Brenda Woodruff of Goose Creek, South Carolina
Two grandchildren-
Jessica Preston and Amanda Belt
A great grandson, James Martin
A sister, Dallas Kirn and her husband, Rodney of Baltimore, Maryland
A brother, Douglas Foote and his wife, Barbara of Baltimore, Maryland
Numerous nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Marvin Foote.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26th at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA with the memorial service to follow at 3 p.m.
Pastor Jonathan Batchelder of Fawn Grove Church of the Nazarene will officiate.
There will be no interment.
