BRENDA LYN NOOFT, age 67 years, died in York Hospital on Tuesday, July 1, 2014. Born on June 29, 1947 in Baltimore, MD, she was a daughter of the late Clint and Katherine (Parham) Copeland.

A 1966 graduate of Hamilton High School in Essex, MD, she had worked for the Maryland State Transportation Authority Police Department for over 20 years, retiring in 2003 as a Sergeant. Brenda raised and trained quarter horses and bred purebred Dobermans.

She is survived by:

A daughter, Tracey L. Nooft of Delta, PA

A grandchild, Logan Manley, also of Delta

A brother, Larry Copeland.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA with a visitation time with the family from12 to 1 p.m.

Reverend James Johnson of the Dublin/Darlington Cooperative Ministry will officiate.

There will not be any inurnment services.

A time of remembrance with refreshments will be held following the service from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at the American Legion Post #182, 2217 Whiteford Road, Whiteford, MD.
