Burnice C. Reed, age 83 of Abingdon, Maryland died on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. He was the husband of Margaret (Baker) Reed with whom he had shared 66 years of marriage.

Mr. Reed was born on March 1, 1926 in Burdine, Kentucky, he was a son of the late A.G. and Georgia (Keel) Reed. He served in the US Army during World War II receiving two Bronze Stars.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters-

Ruby Bentley and her husband Jimmy of Delta, Pennsylvania

Gloria Druso of Aberdeen, Maryland

Three grandchildren

Four great-grandchildren

A visitation with his family will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2010 from 6 to 8 PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.

Funeral services and interment will be private.
