C. ROBERT "Bob" KILGORE, age 87 years of Airville died at 3:58 p.m. on Monday, December 1, 2008 at Manor Care South, York. He was the husband of Isabelle W. (Martin) Kilgore. They observed their 58th. wedding anniversary on February 11, 2008.

Mr. Kilgore was born in Woodbine, PA on July 18, 1921 a son of the late Charles W. and Millicent A. (Smith) Kilgore. A dairy farmer at his Bridgeton Farm from 1938 - 1984, he enjoyed farming but always said it was a hard life. Following his retirement from farming he enjoyed travelling and camping with his wife. He was a member of the Chanceford Presbyterian Church since 1932 where he had served as a trustee and could always be counted on to help around the church with any projects or jobs that needed to be done.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by:

Four daughters: Donna Lutz and her husband Wendell of Stewartstown

Connie Wayne and her husband Ronnie of Airville

Jane Brown and her husband Kevin of Fawn Grove

Barbara Marks and her husband Melvin of Airville

Two brothers: Smith Kilgore of Brogue

Walter Kilgore of Airville

Nine grandchildren: Amy Lutz-Wills, Joy R. Olp, Jennifer Heidary, Martin Wayne, Jamie Irwin, Michael Brown, Erin Strine, Nicole Patterson and Trisha Marks.

Also survived by eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and John.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 5 at 12 Noon at the Chanceford Presbyterian Church, 56 Woodbine Road, Airville.

His pastor, Rev. Harry R. Robinson will officiate.

Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until service time.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Building Fund of Chanceford Church, c/o Molly Jackman, 1642 Woodbine Road, Airville, PA 17302.
