CATHERINE M. BEREZNE, age 80 years, of Delta, Pennsylvania died on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. She was the wife of Daniel S. Berezne who died on August 3, 1997.

Mrs. Berezne was born on March 10, 1928 in Baltimore, Maryland; a daughter of the late John and Anna (Zipp) Kemmer. She had lived in the Delta area since 1984. She was a homemaker and loved gardening, cooking and baking. Mrs. Berezne was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, the Delta Senior Center and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Catherine Gistedt and her husband, John of Edgemere, Maryland

Denise Melpignano and her husband Robert of Delta, Pennsylvania

Three grandchildren-

Kevin Gistedt of Lusby, Maryland

Robert Melpignano, Jr. of Ocean City, Maryland

Danielle Melpignano of Delta, Pennsylvania

A sister, Anna Price of Edgemere. Maryland

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Eric Gistedt and siblings Leo Kemmer, Art Kemmer, John Kemmer, Benjamin Kemmer, Jake Kemmer, Joseph Kemmer, Libby Shaw and Marie Regiec.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 9, 2008 at 9 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 1021 St. Mary's Road, Pylesville, Maryland.

Reverend A. Henry Kunkel, III will be the celebrant.

Interment in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Baltimore. Maryland.

Friends may call at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM.
