CATHERINE L. RICHARDS, 61 years, passed away surrounded by her family, Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. Married in Abingdon, MD on September 13, 1992, she was the wife of Leon F. Richards for 23 years.

Born on May 2, 1955 in Havre de Grace, MD, she was a daughter of the late Stewart T. and Stella L. (Sumner) Huff.

Cathy was employed as a Store Associate for the Department of the Army for many years. She was happiest spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren. Cathy was devoted to service work at the Liberty Christian Center where she was a member for over 10 years. Her dedication to bible study enabled her to recite scripture by memory. Her beauty and genuine kindness will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St. Delta, PA. Visitation will resume on Saturday, May 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home where the funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. officiated by her pastor, Reverend Timothy J. Hodge.

Interment will immediately follow in Broad Creek Friends Cemetery, Street, MD.
