CHARLES ELMER BURKINS, 86 of Street, MD died on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 in Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, MD. Married on June 26, 1992, he had shared 30 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Charlotte (Rockey) Burkins.

Born on June 25, 1936 at home in Falling Branch, MD, he was one of four children and had worked in carpentry and repairs for the Harford County Board of Education. In addition, Charles worked for Southern States Cooperative and The Mill of Black Horse in the Norrisville/White Hall area of Harford County with over 35 years of service. His responsibilities included mechanical repairs, carpentry and operating one of the sprayers. He loved to come home even after a long day at work and mow the yard or tinker in his shed. Charles enjoyed watching professional wrestling and was very fond of the family cats: Penny, Emme, Tigger and Squeaky.

He is survived by:

Three sons-Richard, Kenneth and David Burkins

Three stepchildren and their families:

Michael Montgomery

Randy Montgomery and his son, Tyler

Theresa Bostic and her children: Ashley and Andrew

Numerous loving grandchildren and great grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his siblings: Tom Burkins, Eleanor Burkins Slyver and Frank Burkins
