Charles F. Griffin, age 85 of Pylesville, MD died on Sunday, Jan. 11 at Perry Point Veterans Administration Medical Center, Perryville, MD. He was the husband of the late Laura (Bush) Griffin.

Mr. Griffin was born on August 29, 1923 at Street, MD a son of the late Nelson and Violet (Norris) Griffin. Charles worked at the Bata Shoe Company over 25 years prior to his retirement. He served in the US Army during World War 2 where he received the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. He was a member of Slate Ridge Amercian Legion Post # 182, Whiteford, MD. Charles loved going to the horse races and enjoyed hunting small game when he was younger.

Funeral service will be on Wednesday, Jan. 14 at 11 AM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta, PA.

Reverend Dennis McCleary, pastor of the Mt. Nebo/Mt. Olivet United Methodist Charge will officiate.

Burial will be at Bel Air Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, Jan. 13 from 6 to 8 PM
