CHARLES BRUCE HALL, age 74 years, of Selbyville, Delaware, passed away on November 27, 2009 in Delta, Pennsylvania. He was the husband of Sonya Whiteford Hall with whom he had shared 49 years of marriage.
Born on October 7, 1935 in Whaleyville, Maryland, he was a son of the late Charles Davis and Edna Banks Hall. Mr. Hall was a 1953 graduate of the former Buckingham High School in Berlin, Maryland and received an Associate Degree at the Goldey-Beacom School of Business in Wilmington, Delaware. He continued his education at the University of Nebraska at Omaha receiving his Bachelor of Science degree.
He joined the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict from 1953-1956. In 1962, he joined the United States Air Force and retired from military service in 1979. After retiring, he worked for the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) in Washington, D.C. and as a Systems Analyst for the Federal Civil Service, retiring in 1995.
He was a recipient of the Air Force Commendation Medal (1OLC) and the DIA Defense Meritorious Medal. He enjoyed troubleshooting technical equipment problems, was an avid reader and motorcycle enthusiast.
