CHARLES MICHAEL HANSON, 68, US Marine Corps Veteran and beloved husband for 26 years of Gail (Moore) Hanson died unexpectedly in his home in the morning of Sunday, March 16, 2025 in Street, MD. Married on Christmas Eve in 1998, he was a devoted husband and family man.
Born on April 26, 1956 in Havre de Grace, MD, he was a son of the late William Hanson and Eleanor (Teague) Hanson and a 1974 graduate of North Harford High School. Charles had worked as an electrician for Key Systems of White Marsh, MD and United Iron and Metal in Baltimore, retiring in 2023. He loved to go boating on the Susquehanna River and fish especially for rockfish. He was known to give a helping hand to anyone in need. Family was first, and he adored each member. His loving wife, Gail remarked that he will be missed every day for the rest of her life.

Three children-
Charlie Hanson, Elizabeth Taylor (Jason) and Stephen Hanson.
Five siblings: Butch Hanson, Janet Wolfe, Ann St. Clair, Mark Hanson and Dickie Hanson.
Three grandchildren: Charlie Hanson III, Ryan Taylor and Andrew Taylor and two great grandchildren: Kehlani Hanson and Charles Michael Hanson, IV.
Services will be private.
The American Legion Post #182 Riders will host a casket vigil in honor of Charles's service, and the United States Marine Corps along with military honors will be presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
