CHARLES W. STURGIS, Sr., age 65 years of Street, Maryland died on Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the husband of Joyce J. (Fizer) Sturgis.

Born in Street on February 19, 1943, he was a son of the late Woodrow W. and Mary J. (Scarborough) Sturgis. A graduate of North Harford High School, he was employed by Maryland Lava for 44 years prior to his retirement in 2005.

David Kelly of Chesapeake City, Maryland

Three sisters:

Martha Comer of Street, Maryland

Mabel Richardson of Lansing, North Carolina

Nancy Riffey of Aberdeen, Maryland

Also survived by nineteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2008 from 6 - 8 PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 15th at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Darlington Cemetery, Darlington, Maryland.

Pallbearers will be Tim Sturgis, Larry Wade, George Johnson, Fred Widener, Jeff Comer and James Comer.
