CHARLOTTE LORINA PURCELL, 78, of Elkridge, MD passed away on Monday, March 14, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at Stella Maris Hospice. Married November 24, 1974, Charlotte was the widow of Carl R. Purcell who passed away in 1982. Born in Fairfax, Virginia, she was a daughter of Edward T. and Mattie Pearl (Cubbage) Hudson.

Charlotte was devoted to her family and had been the longterm caregiver of her special needs daughter, Carol. She was witty with a wonderful sense of humor, always quick with a one-liner and could make everyone laugh. Caring for her cats was a favorite pastime. She was strong, determined, and resilient.

Linda Mallonee and her husband, Jay of Westminster, MD

Carol Lee Purcell of Elkridge, MD

Kimberly Chavis and her husband, Michael of Seven Valleys, PA

9 grandchildren-

Timothy Reidy, Derek Chavis, Robert Lance Kosisky, Amber Mallonee, Brandi Kosisky, Kelsea Chavis, Kayla Kosisky, Kyle Mallonee, and Joan Kosisky.

She is preceded by her son, Barton Willhoite, and daughter, Charlene Willhoite.

A memorial service will be held at Harkins Funeral Home on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 1:00pm, officiated by Marie Sipler, Certified Celebrant. Interment will immediately follow at Mt. Nebo cemetery.
