CHRISTINE JENNESS, age 93 years of Marshburg, Pennsylvania, died on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at the Bradford Ecumenical Home in Bradford, Pennsylvania. She was the wife of Hampton B. Jenness who died in May, 1970.

Mrs. Jenness was born on August 21, 1915 in Goblers Knob, Maryland; she was a daughter of the late Christopher C. and Henerieta O. (Kohlbus) Muth. Mrs. Jenness attended the Delta High School and was a member of the United Methodist church. After her marriage, she worked for the former Delta Sewing Factory before moving to the Edinboro, Pennsylvania. There, she worked at the Edinboro University in housekeeping. Following her husband's death, she moved to the Marshburg area to be near her late daughter, Dotti's family. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was fond of her cat, Charlie.

She is survived by:

A daughter, Donna Eddy of Bernardston, Massachusetts

A sister, Thelma Hewell of Delta, Pennsylvania

Eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and three nephews

She was preceded in death by:

Two daughters: Dorothy Hushon and Patricia Jenness and two sisters

After services in Bradford, a visitation will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2008 at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta from 12:00 - 2:00PM where the funeral service will begin at noon. Pastor James Johnson of Dublin United Methodist Church, Street, Maryland will officiate.

Interment will be in the Slate Ridge Cemetery, Delta, Pennsylvania.
